Afternoon Tea in Montreal

While visiting Montreal, I enjoyed afternoon tea at a wonderful spot--Le Parloir.  I was truly charmed by the atmosphere...wooden floors, vintage tables and chairs, china cups and teapots and a wonderful wooden bar area.  After I chose my tea flavor of the day using their smelling jars, I sat back and enjoyed the view of the tin wall and all the different chandeliers around the room. Sylvie, the owner, climbs a flight of stairs from the basement kitchen to deliver...

Chantilly Tea Loves Fall Flavors

Recently I visited Flagstaff and the cooler temperatures got me thinking about fall...the colors and flavors.  One of my favorite scones this time of year is our Caramel Spice--either made as is or with the addition of dried apple or pear bits.  With a dollop of our Devonshire Cream--YUM!  Pair the scones with one of our fall flavored loose-leaf teas (Vanilla Cinnamon, Creme Caramel, Peach Apricot, Orange CinnaSpice, Roasted Almond...) and enjoy a truly delightful tea time.

English Tea at The Huntington

AFTERNOON TEA AT THE ROSE GARDEN TEA ROOM @ The Huntington (Library) This past week I had the opportunity to visit The Huntington in San Marino, CA.  The property contains the collections of Henry Edwards Huntington.  During his lifetime he amassed one of the finest research libraries in the world (i.e. The Gutenbery Bible & Chaucer's Canterbury Tales), assembled a magnificent art collection (including Blue Boy and Breakfast in Bed by Mary Cassatt), and established an array of botanical gardens. ...

New Rare Oolong at Chantilly Tea

ORCHID OOLONG This rare, hand selected, Ti Kuan Yin oolong has notes of orchid, baking bread, and faint hints of wine.  Legend says the mallow blossoms blended with this oolong were added by tea growers to honor the goddess who saved their village with a miraculous spring.  The blue mallow blossoms represent the water.  This divine oolong is low in caffeine with a high level of antioxidants. $8.35 for 2oz.
